Questions, answered straight.

Fees, ID, timing, and what a New York notary can and cannot do.

Booking and scheduling

How do I book an appointment?

Call or text (845) 237-4645, or use the Request a Signing form. Requests go directly to me, and I confirm by phone.

Do you offer same-day appointments?

Often, yes, especially in Orange County and the nearby parts of Dutchess, Ulster, and Rockland. Call or text to check today's schedule.

Do you work evenings and weekends?

Yes, by appointment.

Where can we meet?

Your home, your office, a hospital or care facility, or another location that works for the signer.

What areas do you serve?

Orange, Ulster, Rockland, Westchester, and Dutchess counties and all five boroughs of New York City.

Fees

How much does a notarization cost in New York?

New York law sets the notarial fee at $2 per oath or acknowledgment. A mobile appointment also carries a travel fee, quoted before I leave.

What does a loan signing cost?

Loan signings start at $150. CEMA, reverse mortgage, and other large packages are quoted. Travel and scan-backs may apply.

Is there a travel fee?

Yes, $25 to $50 depending on distance. You will know the total before you book.

Documents and ID

What ID do I need?

Current government-issued photo ID, such as a driver license, non-driver ID, or passport, in the name that appears on the document.

Should I sign the document before you arrive?

No. Leave the signature and date blank until the appointment.

Do I need witnesses?

Some documents require them. A New York power of attorney, will, and health care proxy each need two. Ask when you book.

Can you tell me which form I need or help me fill it out?

No. I am not an attorney and cannot give legal advice, choose forms, or prepare documents.

Can you notarize a document in another language?

Ask when you book. The notarial certificate must be in English, and I have to be able to communicate directly with the signer.

Apostilles

Can you get an apostille for me?

Yes. I handle the notarization, the county clerk authentication, and the Department of State submission, and return the finished apostille to you.

What are the government fees for a New York apostille?

$3 per notary authentication at the county clerk and $10 per document at the Department of State.

Need a notary who shows up on time?
